Here I am, eating ramen. Woo. Anyway, I haven't really been updating because all I seem to be doing latley is oil paintings. I really need to get a handle on that kind of thing so that my entire portfolio doesn't consist of linoleum block prints. Ugh.

As it is, I'm a lazy ass -- but I've been *producing* like crazy, which is odd. All of a sudden I had the revelation that depspite my perfect verbal SAT score and my impeccable AP English grade-history, I would be miserable going through life as a writer or an editor. As lucrative as tearing prospective novels apart is, it's not what I want to do in life. Alas!

I had been talking with my main man Korey yesterday, and I think I solidified my desire to head off to an art school, despite my parents' wishes. Oh well.

Korey and my art teacher both confirm the notion that as long as you can barely draw and have a portfolio full of . . . fullness, an art school will "take your money." (hahaha) But, I'm still worried that no art school will have me.

But shit, whatever. I've seen tons of hack artists from the classes before me make it into SAIC, none the less. So whatever. God. PAFA, freaking watch out.
